CNC MACHINIST SETUP/OPERATOR
We are currently looking to hire two machine operators with experience operating a variety of automated equipment in our modern machine shop on-site in our Innovation Center. As our machine operator, you will be assisting our Advanced Machinists and operating machinery, including 3 and 5axis CNCs, a waterjet and a wire EDM, among others to produce components to specifications. The candidates that we hire will need to demonstrate that he or she pays close attention to detail to efficiently create high-quality products according to specifications. We are looking for quick learners who are eager to identify and take on new tasks so they can grow with our team and our company. Operators are needed for both day and night shifts.

What You’ll Do
-
Setting up and operating vertical CNC machines and other machining equipment involving precision tolerances

Reading blueprints to ensure parts are produced according to required tolerances and specifications

Selecting and applying proper tooling

Responsible for verification and documentation of part dimensions and tolerances as required for quality
-
Required to visually inspect parts for surface details and machining finishes with close attention to detail
-
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly
-
Provide general upkeep and preventative maintenance on all machines and other tools
-
Ability to work safely and adhere to company policies and procedures while meeting tight timelines

Mechanically minded and willing to learn new machinery or operations as needed

Set up Water Jet, laser, and EDM machines without supervision

Inspect parts before submitting to QA
-
Perform other duties assigned by the Mechanical, Operations or Engineering teams
Who You are
-
US Citizen or Approved to work in the U.S.
-
Three to four years of experience operating general shop machinery
-
Knowledge of general shop math
-
Able to work late nights and/or weekends required to finish projects
-
Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints
-
Knowledge of Multi-Axis machines, Lathes, Grinding, and Turning equipment

Ability to use applicable inspection/measurement equipment: micrometers, calipers etc. as required

Good communication skills and the desire to work in a team environment a must

Exhibit close attention to detail, work safely and efficiently

Take pride in their work and show a strong initiative to succeed

High school degree or GED preferred

Have full body mobility and be able to twist, turn, bend at the waist, squat and go up and down stairs.

Able to lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.

Able to work on feet for extended periods of time.

Able to walk and move about the Center to work with team members.

Able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
