FULL CHARGE ACCOUNTANT

Our Full Charge Accountant will ultimately interface with everyone in the company, so we’re looking for a candidate who is as enthusiastic about learning, creating and using technology, in new and unique ways, as we are.
Our Accountant will be responsible for all bookkeeping and accounting needs in the company. This is the perfect opportunity for a current accountant who is ready to spread their wings! The opportunity for significant growth within the company exists for the right candidate. Our accountant will need significant experience with Excel, QuickBooks Online, GL coding, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll management and sales and use tax to succeed in the role. We will depend on the person in this position to make sure that our QuickBooks account is kept up to date, as well as create the invoices that are critical to our revenue stream. This role will also be responsible for approving and processing employee expense reimbursements and payroll hours on a bi-weekly basis and reviewing our vendor invoices for use tax payable necessity. What You’ll Do
-
Accurately processes employee expense reimbursements and payroll on a bi-weekly basis

Remits and records outgoing A/P payments to the company’s vendors in a timely manner, while allocating the expense to either company overhead, or client overhead

Creates A/R invoices for labor, travel and materials in QuickBooks Online, after first generating detailed Excel reporting for client’s approval

Submits A/R invoices through client’s payment portal and follows up with their A/P Dept, if needed

Applies A/R payments and reconciles client discounts to invoices in QuickBooks Online

Keeps close watch over multiple purchase order balances, in order to guarantee that sufficient funds are always available for billing​

Downloads credit card and checking account transactions into QuickBooks Online and codes to the applicable GL code

Reviews GL entries from past bookkeeping and makes corrections where necessary

Compiles numbers, on an annual basis, for CPA’s staff to prepare vendor 1099-NECs

Ensures that the company remains in compliance with the FL DOR, with regards to proper use tax reporting, by means of reviewing vendor invoices for use tax necessity

Makes QuickBooks Online entries on vendor transactions for Use tax payable, as the need arises

Attaches vendor invoices and payment receipts to QuickBooks Online transactions
Who You are
-
Approved to work in the U.S., without the need for sponsorship

Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in a business, or accounting-related field of study required

Demonstration of mathematical accuracy and 10-key typing proficiency

Knowledge of proper general ledger coding and Per Diem reimbursement methods

Three to five year’s experience working in QuickBooks Online, in addition to A/P, A/R and payroll management duties

Firm understanding of Florida sales and use tax laws

Ability to remain fluid and adaptable, in accordance with the company’s evolving needs
