QUALITY CONTROL ENGINEER
We are looking for an experienced hands-on Engineer with CMM experience to join our team. The successful will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes are of the highest quality and that all products meet our customers' expectations. The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing and production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, conduct inspections, and implement quality control procedures.​

What You’ll Do

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure the highest level of product quality.

Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances and quality issues.

Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection procedures and work instructions.

Conduct inspections of manufactured products to ensure that they meet quality standards and specifications.

Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine inspection requirements.

Use measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to perform dimensional and visual inspections of products.

Record and analyze inspection data to identify trends and potential quality issues.

Document inspection results and generate inspection reports to communicate findings to production teams.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering and design, to identify and resolve quality issues and improve product quality.

Maintain inspection equipment and ensure that it is calibrated and functioning properly.

Conduct in-process inspections of products to ensure that they are manufactured according to specifications.

Participate in the development and improvement of quality control procedures and processes.

Utilize CMM equipment to conduct quality inspections and measurements.

Troubleshoot any issues with CMM equipment and work with the manufacturer to resolve technical problems.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for CMM equipment and processes.

Train and mentor other team members on CMM technology and best practices.

Interface with customers to address quality issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Keep internal quality standards up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to quality inspection and stay informed about new developments in the field.

Notify leadership of any delays ahead of time so they can properly manage customer expectations.
Who You are

US Citizen or approved to work in the U.S.
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field
-
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality engineering role.

Experience working with CMM equipment and conducting quality inspections.

Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.

Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action.

Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Experience with CAD software, including Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.

Strong understanding of scanning technology, including data acquisition and post-processing.

Familiarity with reverse engineering processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Proficient in MS Office suite.
