INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Robotics Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Industrial Robotics Software Engineer at Viable, you will build custom UI’s to enable customer utilization of our products as well as build custom software solutions for customers.​​​

What You’ll Do

  • Develop rapid prototypes and complete feasibility studies. 
     

  • Design reusable software libraries for a variety of hardware, technologies, and programming languages.
     

  • Develop modules using Blazor, ASP.NET, React, or similar web app technology for in-house web applications.
     

  • Create and perform unit tests for modules to ensure there are no bugs when deployed.
     

  • Complete alpha and beta testing of all application development.
     

  • Design and develop relational and non-relational databases with a variety of technologies.
    ​

  • Create UML diagrams and flow diagrams to describe functionality.
     

  • Create wireframes to illustrate look and feel of new applications.
     

  • Develop graphical user interfaces using the MVVM design pattern or a similar design pattern.
     

  • Use XAML or similar markup language for front end design.
     

  • Develop software focused on robot communications / network.

  • Provide mentorship to junior software engineers and interns. 

Who You are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
     

  • Prior professional experience required, including experience with object-oriented programming, using .NET standards, and Dependency Injection.
     

  • Experience with a variety programming languages, which may include C#, C++, Python, JS, Java
    ​

  • Experience with a variety of technologies, which may include AWS, .NET, SQL, MVVM, WPF, Blazor, QT, React JS
     

  • Experience with a variety of tools, which may include Visual Studio, Git, Jira, Microsoft Office, Visio, CAD/CAM Software
    ​

  • Some experience with Robotics, Controls, OpenCV, and CAD software is preferred
