SENIOR MECHANICAL
ENGINEER
We are currently seeking a new team member to join our highly skilled Mechanical department. As a team member, our Mechanical Engineer will assist in solving a variety of problems brought to us by our clients by designing mechanical solutions that meet specified requirements and integrate with electrical and software components as well. The new hire will have the opportunity to see their part come to life with the use of our in house machine shop. The new hire must display excellent communication and interpersonal skills and should be able to work well with our teams from design all the way through in-house prototype development. The successful candidate will also be responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. Our new Mechanical Engineer will need to be a quick learner, eager to identify and take on new tasks so they can grow with our team and our company.

What You’ll Do
-
Design and develop mechanical systems from conceptual to production including: Automation Systems, Mechanical Assemblies, Machining Fixtures, Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems, and Multi-body kinematic mechanisms.

Develop design and test documentation. Analyze test results to form an informed engineering decision on follow up actions for feasibility and conceptual designs.

Determine cost-effective system layouts for the various components of the mechanical systems.

Provide support for in-house manufacturing. This includes machining support, metrology/inspection, and material procurement.

Collaborate with engineering team(s) to integrate newly developed systems.

Materials specification, selection, and component manufacturing methods.

Experimental testing/validation.

Develop concepts and perform required analysis on designs. Conceptual designs and associated analysis may require cross-discipline input.

​Provide feedback to management on system integration costing and mitigate risks on projects.

Troubleshoot and repair production systems.

Manage commissioning robot cells and automation solutions by coordinating between all stakeholders, reviewing commissioning plans and providing support to onsite commissioning personal within the field service team in accordance within project guidelines.

Participate in initial conceptual development and balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits to facilitate quotes and feasibility studies.

Exercise concise part number and revision control on released components.

Identify technical problems and recommend solutions.

Manage serialized production runs within the Innovation Center and ensure customer delivery.
